Look you dicks, only a few years ago you were all lamenting how crap the Netscape browser was and how you all wished it would disappear. Now you are making sites that don't work in IE, while at the same time having a spaz in your bigoted blogs about how some designers are designing only for IE. You are all populist faddy wankers!

Look at this site for example. If you visit with IE it loads another page telling me I'm not using a compliant, standards based browser and that all sorts of bad things will happen to me. There is an option to continue, so click it and behold the amazing site that apparently only Firefox can render. Oh, then look at it in Firefox and gasp in amazement at what Firefox can do with that markup!

Let us decide ourselves what browser we want to use. I know it's your site, but that doesn't give you the right to dictate how I want to view it. There are plenty of other sites on the net that I can hit back and view them instead. As a lecturer once told me (so it must be true), there is nothing unique in the world that can't be subsititued with something else. Your content isn't the only stuff on the web. In all likelyhood all you've done anyway is copy a couple of dozen other people.

Today we took the giblets to the Glenbrook Vintage Railway for a ride on the steam train. It was damn fine. Look, I found it on Google Maps. The engineering was a wonder to behold, so I got some photos.

  • hahaha. i'm an avent firefox user but i'll always make sure my sites look identical in MSIE (well as close as possible) ... IE will sort it self out eventually.. it should be switching to gecko or whatever it's called.

  • Bhaha! Consider it affirmative action. We've been dealing with that "Designed for Internet Explorer" crap for years!
