NIKON D70 - 1/125 sec, f5.6 at 70mm
My Nokia 5110 is entering it's 7th year of service. It's battery is starting to feel the effects of that age. It now only holds a charge for a couple of days. Murphy's Law dictates that it'll go flat in the middle of the night, so it starts beeping to tell me it's about to die. I lay there trying to avoid getting up to the damn thing, hoping that the last beep will be it's last beep. It never is though.
Bloody hell, I'd like to find the programmer that was responsible for the beep it makes when it's battery is nearly flat. If I find you, you dick, I'm going to spiflicate you!
The damn cell phone has a clock in it. How hard would it be to add in a bit of logic to check the time. If it's the middle of the night, don't beep that the battery is flat, wait to the morning to start beeping.
Here, I can provide the code to help you out, you pimply faced knob.
#!/usr/local/bin/perl
# time is 24 hr
@time = localtime(time);
$hour = $time[2];
if($hour > 23 & $hour < 7) {
print "Don't make a fucking beeping sound you moron, it's the middle of the night and we are asleep";
} else {
beep;
}
I fell up the stairs to the office this morning, bashing my knee and damaging 2 fingers. I can't hold the camera. So I've regurgitated an old photo of Turbo MD at speed on Manawahe Road, Bay of Plenty.
Thanks to J for help with the code.
