NIKON D70 - 1/60 sec, f1.8 at 50mm
I missed out on winning the auction to spend a day with a Dom Post photographer. Despite the risk that I'd get assigned to a sports photographer, and would have to spend the day with bloody boofhead rugby players, I thought it'd be a cool thing to do, and a great way to learn to take photos.
So last week when I placed my first bid, I set myself a limit of $121. I wasn't going to go above that number. But as the week wore on I wanted it more and more, and ended up flagging the auction away at $175.
At least this auction wasn't going to be a win for some dickhead selling something that didn't quite match the description. And it was a for a good cause. So I guess it's not so bad that the adenaline and manly competitiveness pushed my bidding higher than I wanted.
Besides, it's helping Sam reach his sales targets for this year so the he gets his bonus $50 million.
The photo is of Sarah's attempts at knitting. It's going well don't you think?
