I heard on the news tonight that a bunch of freaks in America are forcing teachers to teach kids alternatives to Darwins theory of evolution, and that it's "not a fact". Then of course, this being America, another bunch of freaks then haul out their laywers to stop them. This will for sure be one of those great fights in the courts where things have to be black and white, and invariably the answer is somewhere in the middle.
This is from the same PC country that fined Dale Earnhardt Jr's arse $10,000 because he said shit on TV after winning a bloody big race. And the same country that had a huge spaz because some ugly chick's right boob flopped out on Telly. Both those events have consumed so much air time and column inches all out of proportion to how important they really are in the grand (God controlled?) scheme of things. I just don't grasp those 3 things in light of the fact it's the same country that has the most massive (because they take all those herbal pills) porn industry in the universe!
I'm pleased I live in New Zealand where the really important things consume our media.
Ever wondered why the moon looks so huge as it rises? This moon looked seriously cool in real life and particulary normal in the photo.
And one last thing. I never thought the day would arrive, but my Ma has yet again joined the ranks of normal people. She got herself on IM today. She's got a Yahoo IM account. It's kind of spooky to have my mother in my computer all the time. Although every time I say g'day to her, she says "Shh, I'm playing scrabble online, I'll talk to you later". Snigger.
