Licking elbows is overrated

Oddly and somewhat coincidentally I read in 2 different places this weekend that you can't lick your own elbow. I also read the 75% of people that read you can't lick your own elbow, give it a go to see if it's true or not.

I was curious to see what the big deal was with this licking elbow thing. There must be something really worthwhile if 2 people write about it. and then I Googled for it and found an incredible 736,000 web pages about licking elbows. Man, there must be really something good about licking elbows.

So I wandered back to the living room and had Gabba lick my elbow. She was reluctant at first, but gave it a go with a bit of encouragement. I can report there is nothing in it. It did nothing for me.

Wait a minute. Now that I have written that the thought occurs to me that perhaps Gabba just sucks at the whole licking elbow thing. Perhaps there is a whole section of gratification that I'm plain missing out on because Gabba doesn't have the skills. Shit, now I'm bothered by that.

Karen, teach me how to do this in potatoshop. No, not the photo, the brown sky bit.

Ramin, good find. I'm now even more bothered by the fact I'm not one of the few that can lick my own elbow. Apparently lots of other people can. Jeez, another thing to add to the list of "things I can't do".

I'm tempted to give the elbow licking a try...perhaps we should have an elbow licking contest at work today...the winner gets a year supply of breath mints. Potatoshop class at 11:00.
