NIKON D70 - 1/125 sec, f5.6 at 98mm

My Ma spent 5 minutes IMing with me today, asking me for advice about digital cameras. There would have been a (long) time that my advice about anything/everything would of [sic] been completely worthless to her. Actually, so worthless she wouldn't have bothered asking.

I can't quite remember when she started asking for my opinion. Perhaps it was only today that I actually thought about it.

I wonder when it will be that I'll consider Sarah or Alice for advice about anything that's not related to what Barbie might be wearing today or what flavor ice cream we should buy in the dupermarket.

And I wonder how long it'll be before they start telling their friends at work that "If my dad understands it, anyone will understand it" or "this is so simple, even my dad will get it".

Surely, eventually, there will come a day that there is stuff that is going on that I just can no longer keep up with.

Shit, I'm so not looking forward to that day.

The Photo

I found a nun's bicycle on the beach some time last year. I dunno where the old duck was. But I kept an eye on her bike for a while, just in case she returned.

I'm loving adjustment layers and layer masks in potatoshop. They just make everything so much easier.

  • just show that now when I ask you a question you know the answer. Remember the old days when I asked you "when are you going to tidy your bedroom?" if you answered at all it was "duh"

  • Makes you wonder how strong the nuns faith was riding a bike with a seat like that?!
