When do kids stop being so sticky?

When do kids stop being so sticky?

Every time I wash the car, I have to wipe sticky fingerprints off the rear passenger windows. What the hell is it with kids that they are so sticky ALL THE TIME?

And what the hell is it with kids that they have to pose in front of cameras? I liked the old days when they were little and I could get great candid shots of them doing kid stuff.

Is there anything an ice cream can't entice a kid to do? Sunday was the first sunny day in bloody months, quite possibly this year (it feels like). I wanted to go to Cornwall Park to get some photos of the daffodils but the giblets just plain weren't interested. They would prefer to be inside playing with Barbies. The idea of seeing frolicking lambs and tasty (tasty) beef on the hoof brought no reaction. But the promise of an ice cream made them get into their coats and shoes and sitting in the back of the car before we were even ready.

Wait a minute, that's probably where the sticky fingerprints came from.

The Photo
Either we were too early or too late for the daffodil thing on Twin Oak Drive in the park. There was sod all about. But it's the youngest daughter posing on a rock with a few unhealthy looking specimens. Gabba was holding the strobe, but she needs practice because it didn't go at all well.

I fear I shouldn't ask the wife to be my (unpaid) photography assistant. It'll surely lead to domestic unhappiness.
