NIKON D70 - 1/30 sec, f2.5 at 50mm
We drove from the Hutt Valley to Wellington along the motorway (there is no other way to get there) at about 3:30pm today.
There was sod all traffic on the motorway. In fact just after passing the Ngauranga Gorge interchange, there was not a single car in front of us to be seen.
The only time to see something similar on an Auckland motorway, is to travel at 3:30am.
Then later we traveled back to Whitby at 5:00pm. I was a little peeved when I found out the wedding rehearsal finished at 5:00pm as it would put us in the rush hour. Even worse was that it was raining. But no. There was no gridlock like there is in Auckland for 8 hours a day. The traffic was free flowing all the way back.
So, as far as getting anywhere goes, Auckland SUCKS, Wellington Rocks!
The Photo
It's Father Pene (I think, I'm not Catholic, so he could be just some guy for all I know) in front of the pending happy couple.
Thankfully I'm not the official wedding photographer as the light in the church is seriously crap. That's probably God's fault.
But I am taking the reception photos. The reception is in the Petone Working Men's club, a place that God definitely has no control over, so the light will probably be much better.
