Not that it was ever particularly politically correct, and especially not these days, and was more than likely a serious OSH issue, Friday Night Drinks are more or less dead at the office now. Not that I'm particularly condoning binge drinking, it was nice to sit with the geeks and relax a little together after a week scratching out a living in the Dot Bomb era. These days the Liquor King boy that delivers our beer delivers far more than we could drink. Friday Night drinks is perhaps as anachronistic as Dot Bomb. Perhaps these days would be better labeled Don't Bomb.

I spent an age trying to get a sharp well lit, interesting daffodil tonight. Studio photography is harder than it looks. I'm betting having proper lighting would be a bonus. And a tripod. And somewhere better than the kitchen bench (counter) to take the shots on.

UPDATE: while laying on the couch thinking about why my white backdrop is now grey (or is it gray) it occured to me this is a lesson in digital camera metering. I guess now I should have dialed in some positive EV compensation to overcome it. Bugger it. I've put everything away and I feel less motivated now after a ouple of glasses of wine.

  • A shing-dig/BBQ is in order to revitalise the friendly atmosphere that once was... Your flower looks interestingly odd!
